Carrying Forward Tradition Through the Spirit of Creative Work
Beyond being honored at the 2026 National Conference Commending Outstanding Role Models, Skilled Workers, and Creative Employees of Vietnam's Construction Industry, the delegation from Viglacera Corporation also embarked on a meaningful journey to the Kim Lien Special National Relic Site and the Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site. The trip became a source of inspiration for the Corporation's exemplary employees to further cultivate their spirit of dedication, innovation, and responsibility in their work.

From July 16 to 17, a delegation of five outstanding individuals from Viglacera Corporation, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha, Member of the Standing Committee of the Viglacera Corporation Trade Union, attended the 2026 National Conference Commending Outstanding Role Models, Skilled Workers, and Creative Employees of Vietnam's Construction Industry in Nghe An Province.
Organized annually by the Vietnam Construction Trade Union, the conference honors collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in production and business activities while providing a platform for exemplary employees to share experiences, disseminate innovative initiatives and effective solutions, and contribute to improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency across the construction industry.
From a Journey Back to the Roots to a Renewed Drive for Innovation
In addition to the recognition ceremony, delegates participated in a heritage visit to the Kim Lien Special National Relic Site (Nam Dan District, Nghe An Province) and offered incense in tribute to fallen heroes at the Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site. For many participants, this became the most meaningful part of the trip, leaving a profound impression and providing renewed motivation for their continued commitment to work and innovation.

As one of the five Viglacera representatives recognized at the conference, Mr. Le Quang Viet, Mechanical Engineer at Phu My Ultra Clear Float Glass Company Limited, shared that the greatest reward was not only having his efforts acknowledged, but also the opportunity to meet many creative employees from across the construction industry.
According to Mr. Viet, every award-winning innovation is the result of months of persistent research, experimentation, and repeated trials—often involving numerous setbacks before arriving at the optimal solution.
"What impressed me most during this trip was the visit to Kim Lien and Truong Bon. Standing at places closely associated with President Ho Chi Minh's life and the sacrifices made by previous generations, I gained an even deeper appreciation of the value of peace and the responsibility borne by today's workforce. If earlier generations devoted their youth and even their lives to the country, then our contribution must come through knowledge, innovation, and wholehearted dedication to our work," Mr. Viet shared.
He added that every innovation, no matter how small, carries practical value if it helps businesses reduce costs, improve productivity, enhance workplace safety, or minimize material consumption. Such contributions not only benefit the enterprise but also represent a meaningful way of carrying forward the spirit of dedication demonstrated by previous generations in times of peace.
The experience also became a source of motivation for Mr. Viet and the other delegates to continue fostering a culture of innovation among their colleagues, contributing to Viglacera's continued growth and development.
Innovations Inspired by Practical Production Needs
Representing tens of thousands of employees across the Corporation, the five delegates selected to attend the conference were all outstanding individuals whose technical innovations and improvement initiatives have generated measurable operational benefits.

Previously, loading glass packs required the rental of a seven-ton forklift, a process that was time-consuming and presented safety risks. In response, Mr. Viet researched, designed, and successfully commissioned a dedicated loading system for export shipments. The solution significantly shortened loading time, reduced labor requirements and equipment rental costs, enhanced operational autonomy in export activities, and generated annual savings of approximately VND 240 million. The initiative was officially recognized in late 2024, and Mr. Viet has received the titles of Advanced Worker, Grassroots Emulation Fighter, and Outstanding Performer for several consecutive years.

Also recognized at the conference was Mr. Tran Hoang Tung of Viglacera Ha Long JSC, whose three production improvement initiatives in roof tile manufacturing have delivered remarkable results. From recycling post-forming waste materials and designing a plow blade system for bulldozers to upgrading the raw material feeding system, each solution was developed with the aim of reducing costs, maximizing material utilization, and improving productivity, generating annual savings of more than VND 1.4 billion.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tinh, Statistical Officer at the Viglacera Faucet Factory, was recognized for her digital transformation initiative in production management. By enhancing and optimizing the production and warehouse management software, she helped reduce report preparation time by approximately 80%, cut manual operations by half, improve data accuracy, and provide more effective support for production management.
In the industrial park infrastructure sector, Mr. Do Ba Thanh, Deputy Manager of the Utilities and Environmental Services Workshop at Viglacera Infrastructure Development Company, was honored for his initiative to upgrade the wastewater collection system at Dong Mai Industrial Park. The solution stabilized influent flow, improved wastewater treatment quality, reduced chemical consumption, and ensured the efficient operation of the wastewater treatment system.

Another delegate, Mr. Hoang Van Tuan of Viglacera Thai Binh Plant, also presented three energy-saving initiatives, including optimizing drying parameters, recovering humidification water, and improving the operation of the drying system. These solutions help the Company save approximately VND 60 million per month, contributing to lower production costs, more efficient energy utilization, and enhanced product competitiveness.

What these initiatives have in common is that they all originated from practical challenges encountered in day-to-day production. Rather than being the outcome of large-scale research projects, they stem from continuous technical improvements made on the factory floor. Through these practical innovations, Viglacera employees have helped the Company reduce costs, improve productivity, enhance occupational safety, and accelerate digital transformation in management.

The conference honoring outstanding employees, together with the heritage journey to Kim Lien and Truong Bon, has come to a close, but what remains is more than the pride of receiving recognition.

It also serves as a reminder to every employee of the responsibility to continue learning, innovating, and contributing. In times of peace, patriotism is expressed not only through words or moments of remembrance, but also through dedication to work, every innovation successfully applied in practice, every solution that creates value for the business, and every product delivered with ever-improving quality.

This is the very flame that the journey back to the roots has rekindled for the five Viglacera representatives in particular and for the Corporation's entire workforce in general, inspiring them to continue building a more sustainable, innovative, and forward-looking Viglacera.
