Viglacera Fosters Employee Engagement through “Trade Union Meals”

To celebrate the 52nd anniversary of Viglacera Corporation – JSC and the 97th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Trade Union of Viglacera Corporation – JSC and the trade unions of its member companies jointly organized the “Trade Union Meal” program. More than simply enhancing the quality of employees’ daily meals, the initiative reflected the genuine care and commitment of the Corporation’s leadership and the trade union toward union members and employees, helping to cultivate a more connected, caring and people-centered workplace.

True care is not always expressed through grand gestures, but often through simple acts of kindness in everyday life. A wholesome meal, enriched by sharing and heartfelt conversations between management and employees, can become one of the strongest bonds that unite a workforce.

With this objective in mind, the Trade Union of Viglacera Corporation – JSC organized the “Trade Union Meal” program at lunchtime on July 28, 2026, on the 18th floor of the Viglacera Building. The event was held to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of Viglacera Corporation – JSC (July 25, 1974 – July 25, 2026) and the 97th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2026), while implementing Guidance No. 77/HD-CĐTCT issued by the Viglacera Trade Union on the annual organization of the “Trade Union Meal” program.

Each meal was thoughtfully prepared to provide employees with a more nutritious and welcoming dining experience than usual, while demonstrating the practical care and support extended by both the trade union and the Corporation’s management to employees and union members.

Behind every meal lies more than its material value. It reflects the shared commitment of the Corporation’s leadership and the trade union to improving employees’ well-being. This commitment is demonstrated through tangible actions—from enhancing meal quality to ensuring that every employee feels genuinely cared for, supported and valued by the organization.

The “Trade Union Meal” is therefore far more than a communal lunch. It also provides an opportunity for the Corporation’s leadership to sit down with union members and employees, engage in open conversations, listen to their thoughts and aspirations, and share stories about work and daily life. Through these simple yet meaningful interactions, barriers are reduced, mutual understanding is strengthened, and the spirit of solidarity across the organization continues to flourish.

For the Trade Union of Viglacera Corporation – JSC, caring for employees extends beyond ensuring statutory benefits and welfare policies. It also focuses on enriching employees’ spiritual well-being and fostering a professional, caring and cohesive working environment. Every activity conveys the message that employees remain at the heart of the Corporation’s development and are the foundation of its strength and sustainable growth.

The “Trade Union Meal” program was not limited to the Corporation’s headquarters. It was also held simultaneously across Viglacera’s member companies, including Vietnam Float Glass Company Limited, Viglacera Tien Son Joint Stock Company, and Viglacera Ha Long Joint Stock Company, in celebration of the 97th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2026), creating a warm and cohesive atmosphere throughout the Corporation.

Although simple, each shared meal was carefully prepared and embodied heartfelt appreciation for employees and workers. After a hard day’s work, colleagues gathered around the table to share everyday stories, exchange smiles and experience the warmth of belonging to one united family. The distance between management and employees was visibly narrowed, while the bonds among colleagues and union members grew even stronger.

The “Trade Union Meal” is therefore more than a nourishing meal—it is a sincere expression of gratitude for the dedication and invaluable contributions of every employee. Through these thoughtful gestures, trust is strengthened, solidarity is reinforced, and employees are inspired to remain committed to Viglacera, moving forward together on the Corporation’s journey of sustainable growth.
