Perspective of Phu My Floating Glass Factory

Currently, Vietnam only has Float VGI glass factory of Nippon Float Glass Company - Japan producing super-white glass for export completely. Vietnam has no second super white float glass production line. Therefore, Vietnam's demand for the construction of high-quality super-quality float glass production lines is really necessary and urgent.
Besides, solar power is becoming a growing industry. Currently, although the solar battery in Vietnam is still in the early stages of development. But when Vietnam joins free trade agreements, along with government incentives for high-tech and renewable energy products. There are many investors to develop solar module assembly in Vietnam. This is an opportunity to develop the production of products that make up the solar cell module including super-white glass.
Actually, in Bac Giang, in 2014 and 2015, there are two companies assembling solar modules, with the demand for super white glass about 15 million m2 per year, namely: Vina Co., Ltd. Solar Vietnam (Van Trung Industrial Park - Viet Yen), invested $ 60 million, with a capacity of 10 million products per year, equivalent to a white light bridge of about 12 million square meters per year. BOVIET Solar Power (Song Khe - Noi Hoang Industrial Park), invested $ 50 million, with current demand for super white glass at 4 million square meters per year.
Vietnam has a competitive advantage compared to the ultra-white glass manufacturers in China due to tax incentives for export to countries in South East Asia. Moreover, with the participation of upcoming free trade agreements, Vietnam not only exports to solar cell manufacturing corporations in Southeast Asia, but also exports directly to manufacturing corporations. solar cells in potential markets such as USA, Japan, Australia, ...
Silicon sand is available in Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa) with a mining reserve of 5.2 million tons, a current output of 26,000 tons per month, and the provision of raw materials for the production of super-white float glass is also a strength of the project.
