Cuba Minister of Construction visit and work with Viglacera Corporation – JSC

On 25th April 2019, Mr René Mesa Villafana – Cuba Minister of Construction, Ms Lianys Torres Rivera – Cuba ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Vietnam had a visit at Viglacera Corporation. Representatives welcoming them are Mr Le Manh Hung – Deputy Minister of Construction, Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan – Viglacera Corporation General Director and other leaders, Directors of Member Units and experts who are going to work for Viglacera ‘s project in Cuba in the future.

In this time visiting Vietnam, Mr Minister and other officers of Cuba Ministry of Construction spent most of time researching and investigating about building materials manufacturing field in Vietnam. Currently Cuba is having huge demand for building materials for construction such as cement, lime, tile and sanitary accessories. With a base of modern equipment and facilities coming from countries which have the industrial development as top of the world such as Germany, Italy, Cuba want to set a cooperation relationship with partners in Vietnam to invest and exploit the building materials market, and the first partner in Vietnam that they reach is Viglacera.    

From Viglacera side, Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan – Corporation General Director was honored to welcome Mr Minister and Ms Ambassador. With the tight and close relationship between 2 countries’ Governments, the joint venture SanVig and Economic Zone ViMariel invested by Viglacera in Cuba were licensed. This success was due to the effort of both the joint venture and the support from Cuba Ministry of Construction and Mr Minister.

The cooperation and investment activities of Viglacera in Cuba already started to have positive result, the mechanism is becoming more opened. Viglacera Corporation already sent a group of experts in various fields to directly join the project to speed up but still ensure the project quality.

This visit of Cuba Minister of Construction at Viglacera once again confirmed the pioneer role of Viglacera in Real Estate and Building materials industry in Vietnam and opened a new opportunity of cooperation and development between 2 countries, which would be a huge advantage for Vietnamese enterprises to invest into Cuba. Both sides committed to bring all investment projects of Viglacera in Cuba into operation on time.
