On the morning of 27 April, at the National Convention Center Hanoi, the Ministry of Construction solemnly celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Traditional day of the Construction industry. Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong highly appreciated the achievements of the industry and supported the orientation to promote the development of high-tech products following the general trend of the world.

Attending the ceremony were the leaders of the Party and State: General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Former Politburo member, former Deputy Prime Minister, former Minister of Construction Dong Sy Nguyen; Member of the Central Party, Deputy Prime Minister, former Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung.

The ceremony also welcomed leaders of Ministries, Central and Local departments, international organizations, the generations of leaders of the construction industry through periods and nearly 1000 representatives throughout the country.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that the Construction industry is a key industry with great contributions to the country's development since its establishment. During the 60 years of growth, the Construction industry has overcome many difficulties and challenges to successfully complete the assigned tasks, maintain and affirm its position and role as one of the key economic and technical sectors, make an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.

Contributing to the great achievements of the Construction industry in the past 60 years is the positive contributions of corporations and businesses in the Ministry of Construction. Viglacera Corporation as the first enterprise in Vietnam to manufacture and supply building materials since 1974 when the country was in the process of rebuilding, and until the year 2000 when the country entered the technological revolution.

 With more than four decades of development, Viglacera has always played a pioneering role in the application of new technologies in building materials production in Vietnam. Successful in the field of building materials, since 1998, Viglacera has officially invested in real estate and once again, Viglacera has made remarkable successes with industrial parks and commercial houses, social housing and many high-end apartment buildings, modern office for lease, increasingly spread across the country.

Before the official commencement ceremony, the General Secretary and leaders of the State visited the Gallery to showcase the achievements of the Construction industry. General Secretary showed special interest and stayed at the introduction area of ​​Viglacera Corporation. Here, the Viglacera’s staff introduced to the General Secretary a number of high-tech building materials such as: energy-saving glass, ultra-white glass for producing solar panel, V-smart sanitary ware collection. These are the products that Viglacera Corporation prioritize research and development in response to the high-tech industry development program of the Government, in line with the Party's and State's guidelines on climate change and reduced emissions to the environment.

 General Secretary appreciated the community projects, contributing to stabilize and improve social welfare.

The General Secretary also stopped at the display area of ​​Dang Xa - Gia Lam - Ha Noi, as a key project of Viglacera Corporation with the aim to contribute to the community, stabilize and improve social welfare.

The Dang Xa - Gia Lam - Hanoi social housing project includes 3 phases of development with a total of 4,000 units, which are synchronously invested in convenient transportation and living spaces with appropriate facilities. The social housing projects here have changed the development policy for the property market and brought a new urban appearance for the Gia Lam area. In addition, with this project, Viglacera has shown its responsibility to the community, create conditions for low income people to enjoy civilized living space with full facilities.

Viglacera Corporation will continue to strive and set higher goals with the aspirations of contributing to the country in the new phase, enhancing and affirming the brand strength of Vietnam in the international arena.

Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh paid special attention to the Viglacera high-tech products such as energy-saving glass and ultra-white glass. The Minister asked Viglacera to continue promoting these products.
