Inauguration of Phu My Ultra-clear Glass Factory
In the morning of December 5, 2020, Phu My Ultra-clear Glass Co., Ltd. (PFG) held the Inauguration Ceremony of Phu My Ultra-clear glass factory with capacity of 600 tons / day at Lot 2, road D3, Phu My II Industrial Park expansion, Phu My town, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. Phu My Ultra-clear Glass Co., Ltd was established in 2017 with the joint venture of three major corporations, Viglacera Corporation - JSC, Khai Thinh Science and Technology Group Company and Vietnam Urban and Industrial Park Investment and Development Corporation (IDICO).

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh - Deputy Minister of Construction, representatives of the People's Committee, Department of Departments of Ba Ria Vung Tau province, Mr. Le Hoang Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Phu My party committee, Mr. Nguyen Anh Triet - Head of the Management Board of Industrial Parks and local representatives. Leaders of Viglacera Corporations, IDICO Corporation and Khai Thinh Group also attended the event.
On July 24, 2017, PFG started construction of phase 1 of the Ultra-clear glass factory. equipment and technology transferred by Khai Thinh Group.

After nearly 3 years of careful preparation, Phu My Ultra-clear Glass Factory officially went into production. Built on an area of 149,234 m2, located in the expanded Phu My II Industrial Park, Tan Phuoc ward, Phu My town, Phu My Ultra-clear glass factory with a design capacity of 1,500 tons liquid glass / day and invested in 2 phases: Phase 1 with a capacity of 600 tons / day and Phase 2 with a capacity of 900 tons / day. Factory products meet JC / T 2001-2009 Ultra-clear glass standard and EN 572-2: 2012 float glass standard.
After only 25 days of burning the oven, on November 20, 2020, the first glass meters were baked and after only 12 hours, from the time of pulling the first square meters of glass, the product line has achieved all specifications according to the standard and can retrieve finished glass. This is a very special and rare thing in float glass production lines in the world. After 2 weeks of production, the line has reached the required capacity, designed after 5 days of production, product quality and finished product rate reaches 85 - 92%, energy consumption is about 3% lower than design requirements. After more than 10 days in operation, the production line has produced high quality glass panels with a thickness of 12 mm with dimensions of 3.6m x 6m and is fully automatic loading and unloading by robots.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Triet - Head of the Management Board of Industrial Park Projects of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province spoke and praised the local PGF's contributions.
The manufactured products are Ultra-clear glass transparent float glass with 91.6% optical permeability, high quality construction glass, 3-19mm thickness, suitable for domestic and export market requirements for making glass billets for solar glass production, glass billets for energy-saving glass production (Low-E glass, Solar Control glass). Ultra-clear glass is used in the construction field not only to save energy, protect the environment, apply in architecture of high-end buildings, increase the aesthetics of the building.
The investment in Phu My Ultra-clear Glass Factory contributes to the implementation of investors' strategies in applying high-tech industries to production. These are products that are prioritized for research and development in response to the program of high-tech industrial development, using clean fuels, friendly with the environment, in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the Party and State to fight climate change and reduce emissions into the environment. After being put into operation, this project has created jobs for more than 300 workers, created more related jobs for the local development, and brought benefits to the society.

With the initial success of PFG, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Construction, praised and highly appreciated the efforts of PFG in responding to the implementation of policies of the Party and State when investing, to develop new types of products and materials with high scientific and technological content and high economic value, contributing to the completion of common tasks of the Construction industry. “The inauguration ceremony of Phu My Ultra-clear Glass Factory is an important event, contributing to meeting the needs of construction glass across the country in general and in the province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Southern provinces in particular, at the same time as the event to celebrate the success of the Party Congress at all levels of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province recently, towards the XIII National Party Congress", Deputy Minister affirmed.
PFG - aiming at leading the domestic market, becoming number 1 in Southeast Asia and a top choice, aiming to export products to conquer fastidious markets like Europe, North America, Middle East, etc
Right at the inauguration ceremony witnessed the signing ceremony of product sales contracts between PFG and its major agent customers nationwide.
Glass consumption market is in high demand, domestic products are gradually replacing imported ones, the introduction of high quality construction glass products such as PFG has brought a balance to the market. The quality and product specifications of PFG are considered to be the best on the market today.
Phu My Ultra-clear Glass Factory officially came into operation at this time in accordance with the policies of the Party and the State on the development strategy of building materials in Vietnam for the period 2021-2030 with orientation towards year 2050.
