More than 2.5 billion USD was invested in Yen Phong Viglacera Industrial Park from Samsung
On February 24th, People's Committee of Bac Ninh province gave the Investment Certificate of Expanding Project to Samsung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd.. This second expanding investment project will increase investment capital by 2.5 billion USD, raising the total investment capital by Samsung in Yen Phong Industrial Park to 6.5 billion USD, equivalent 130,000 billion Vietnam Dong. With this investment, Samsung will increase the capacity production of screen products from 180 million to 220 million products / year.
With the presence of Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of the Central Executive Committee, Secretary of Party Province Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Chairman of People's Committee of province and leaders of Bac Ninh's departments, leaders of Samsung Vietnam Combination, Samsung Display and Viglacera took part in the ceremony.
The investment of Samsung Group constantly expanding, increasing investment in Yen Phong Viglacera Industrial Park showed a significant attraction of this industrial park. With the decision to invest 2.5 billion USD more from Samsung Display in Yen Phong Industrial Zone, this Industrial Zone have attracted a total foreign investment of more than 10 billion USD up to now. We can appreciate that Yen Phong Industrial park with the Viglacera's investor is one of the industrial zone has effectively of land using/ total investment capital at the high level, with a total area of industrial land is 246 ha, on average, each hectare of Yen Phong Industrial Park has attracted 0.4 billion USD investment capital.
Along with Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display not only level up Yen Phong Industrial Park became a demonstration model Industrial Park in Bac Ninh but also take up the top ranks in attracting investment in recent years at national level. The project contributes to accelerate the development of the electronics and telecommunications industry and helps Bac Ninh province become the center of this industry in Vietnam soon.
