Over the past 50 years, Viglacera has proudly been a pioneering manufacturer in the ceramics and sanitary equipment industry in Vietnam. On the occasion of the company's anniversary, many visitors and partners, both domestic and international, spent a significant amount of time at the exhibition area showcasing the green building materials ecosystem for Viglacera's "from foundation to roof" construction projects.

Here, Viglacera proudly introduces the most advanced technologies, including the leading surface coating technology: Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). This technology marks a new advancement in premium surface protection coatings globally, thanks to collaboration with the renowned Italian company, Protec Surface Technologies.

The collection features the high-quality PVD Prestige Series faucets, designed by Viglacera Design Studio, produced at Viglacera's faucet manufacturing facility, and with PVD-coated from Italy.

Why Did Viglacera Invest in Surface Protection Technology Using PVD Coating?

With the principle of keeping pace with the latest global trends in green manufacturing technology, Viglacera clearly recognizes the potential of the PVD-coated faucet market in both domestic and export markets. In the international faucet market, the emphasis on durability and aesthetic appeal is a necessary demand of the modern era, leading to PVD-coated products quickly replacing traditional surface coating technologies.

In Vietnam, PVD-coated faucets can only be found in high-end imported products from Europe and the U.S. at high prices. Currently, the PVD-coated faucet market in Vietnam is quite young, posing a significant challenge for Viglacera as many people are not yet aware of the advantages of PVD coating technology compared to conventional electrostatic coatings that are currently widespread. However, Viglacera believes that waiting for the market to clearly define its needs will be too late. Moreover, it is in Viglacera's instinctual mindset to embrace a pioneering spirit that leads new consumer trends, with the ultimate principle of providing better benefits for consumers.

Viglacera is confident that PVD-coated faucets are not only a trend in markets outside of Vietnam but will inevitably become a trend within the country. Vietnamese people are increasingly aware of the connection between product quality and the protection of their health, their families, and the living environment. PVD surface protection technology fully meets these standards, even exceeding them in some cases.

What could be more advantageous than owning faucet sets that are not only of high quality but also have durable surfaces that do not degrade in continuously wet, humid, and high-temperature environments? These are typically drawbacks of older faucet surface technologies, but they are easily overcome by Viglacera's faucets that utilize modern PVD coating technology.

WHAT PROBLEMS DO PVD COATED FAUCETS SOLVE?

Superior durability - Perfect in every detail: The PVD coating creates a surface layer that is three times harder than nickel-chrome, providing excellent scratch resistance and wear resistance, resulting in a timeless beauty. The PVD coating also has high adhesion and heat resistance, which older manufacturing methods cannot achieve due to inherent technological limitations. With PVD, the smooth surface not only makes cleaning easier but also effectively prevents the calcification process caused by continuous contact with hard water, ensuring lasting beauty.

Diverse colors - Superior aesthetics: With modern Italian PVD color coating technology, Viglacera fully controls the color spectrum for faucet surfaces in both glossy and matte finishes. Compared to PVD coating, traditional electroplating methods, such as nickel, gold, or copper plating, may offer competitive pricing. However, over time, these traditional coatings are prone to tarnishing or corrosion.

In addition, the diverse and luxurious colors of the PVD coating provide a perfect combination with the overall architecture as well as other interior and sanitary fixtures in bathrooms and kitchens, catering to all design styles from classic to modern.

Environmentally friendly: The PVD coating technology uses a vacuum coating method, which does not directly spray chemical paints into the air, making it a clean and environmentally friendly coating technology. As a result, it minimizes chemical emissions and protects the environment.

In 2024, Viglacera officially signed a partnership agreement with Protec Surface Technologies from Italy for the import of machinery and technology transfer at Viglacera's faucet factory.

According to the plan, the products will be manufactured in Vietnam by the end of 2024 and will reach consumers in early 2025. In terms of color, there will be an additional five new color options: Chrome, Black, Copper Bronze, Gold, and Gun Metal.

Aiming for the high-end EU export market, Viglacera's PVD-coated faucets have obtained the European RoHS certification. The RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) certification ensures that Viglacera's PVD-coated faucets fully comply with strict regulations on restricting the use of hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, and other heavy metals. This guarantees consumer health safety and environmental friendliness, contributing to Viglacera's sustainable development journey.
