The half of 2017, Viglacera hits record profit over the same period in 2016

In the morning of July 3rd, 2017, Conference on evaluation of business results is held by Viglacera JSC , with the results achieved at a record level over the same period of the year and over the planning tasks.

Consolidated profit before tax for the half of 2017 of Viglacera Corporation - JSC is estimated at 534 billion dong, equivalent to 136% of the 6-month plan, that increases 1.42 times over the same period of 2016. In which the parent company still plays an important role  to hit the profit of the half is 338 billion (67% of the total consolidated profit). Total revenue and total business and production value exceeded the first half year plan. This is a very impressive result; considering that The market of building materials and real estate is very competitive.

Overview of the Conference on evaluation of business results in the half of 2017

In the half of the year, the management activities of the Viglacera Corporation is focusing on the core tasks such as: Implement the 2017 business tasks in order to achieve average growth as 10% or more,

Focus on implementing solutions to improve the quality of products and services to a higher level, increase the competition; Successfully implemented the first issuing of 120 million shares (VGC), reduced the percent of state’s ownership in the corporation from 78.8% to 56.67% according to the route of increasing the charter capital to 4.483 billion.;

 Focus on increasing the labor productivity by applying advanced science and technology, technical innovations, mechanization and automation and restructuring of organizational models;

Focus on implementing of the human resource development plan to meet the investment development plan in 2017 and the following years; To manage the Corporation under the model of a public company through the management regulations as the top-level domestic and international production technology and management companies; Meet and take advantage of international economic integration; Focus on investing and developing in key projects in 2017 to ensure the sustainable growth rate under the Plan for 2016-2020

- Field of building materials: For high technology projects, increasing the high value products such as ultra clear float glass project in Vung Tau, high sanitary ware in My Xuan, industrial lime project; continue to invest in-depth, apply technical solutions to increase labor productivity, product quality and reduce costs;

- Field of real estate: Prepare investment to expand the land fund for the development of worker housing projects in Yen Phong (Bac Ninh); Tien Duong, Kim Chung (Dong Anh - Hanoi); Housing project for workers in industrial zones; Thang Long No1 Phase 2 (Hanoi) and Yen My industrial zones (Hung Yen), Thuan Thanh Industrial Zone (Bac Ninh);

- Implementing investment abroad on the basis of cooperation, joint venture investment projects of building materials, hotel projects, industrial zones in Cuba;

In addition, in the first half of the year, Viglacera also checks the supervision procedures and implement well the work of Labor safety and fire prevention, food hygiene and safety in order to improve the quality of working environtment in whole companies.  Trade Union Corporation has also successfully organized the Ninth Congress; Coordinate with the People's Inspection Committee, the Youth Group and the Executive Board of the Corporation to set up and launch the programs and emulation movements in order to direct the activities associated with production and business activities of the companies, Contributing to the successful implementation of the plan for the half of the year, ensuring the interests of shareholders, workers .

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Management Board - Mr. Luyen Cong Minh has required the companies to focus on completing comprehensive targets in 2017, especially is export turnover target. The companies need to stabilize production, improve product quality and increase operational efficiency and Make progress on schedule in the last 6 months of 2017.

Speaking and getting conclusion for the conference, General Director - Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan praised the companies successfully completed the target of profit, greatly contribute to operating results the whole Corporation is as follow: Viglacera floating glass, Viglacera Ha Long JSC; Viglacera Real Estate Trading Company, Viglacera Infrastructure Investment Company, Viet Tri Viglacera JSC.

The companies which maintain good production quality are as follow: Viglacera Floating Glass Company, Viglacera Ha Long JSC (Gieng Day Cotta Factory and Clinker Joint Stock Company), Viglacera Thanh Tri JSC, Viet Tri Viglacera JSC, Viglacera Binh Duong Company, Viglacera Thang Long JSC, Thai Binh Granite Factory (Viglacera Tien Son).

Base on the workload of July and the last 6 months of 2017, General Director proposed that the companies should focus on four key missions. The first and most important mission is the task to complete the business plan for the second half of 2017, making a effort to reach a consolidated profit of 1100 billion VND, in which the parent company is a leading role to hit the profit target of 666 billion and other key indicators such as turnover, production value and especially is export revenue. If export turnover plan of 2017 are achieved, there will be huge rewards. The second program is an investment program, with good conditions such as sufficient funds, well-prepared plans... The Companies should focus on implementing the project on schedule accordance with commitments. The Capital Restructuring Program is the third program proposed by the Director General to implement rapidly to decrease the state ownership rate to 53.9% according to the approved schedule. General Director also requested the companies to make plan quickly to increase capital base on the program has been approved by the Ministry of Construction. The fourth is the Science and Technology and Human Resources development program that is also a very important program in order to prepare for Viglacera's long-term development plan. This program is concerned and created all favorable conditions for implementation by Viglacera board director.
