Viglacera celebrated 30 April and 1 May with an important event of Phu My ultra-white glass project

 On 26 April, 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viglacera celebrated the Day of liberating the South for national reunification 30 April and the Labor Day 1 May by a signing ceremony: Design, supply, installation equipment, provide training and technology transfer of the ultra-white float glass production line, the capacity of 600 tons/ day with Khai Thinh Group.

According to the signed contract, a 600 tons’/ day float glass production line will be installed from the fourth quarter of 2018 and the kiln will be commissioned in the second quarter of 2019.

The products produced are ultra-white float glass and building glass. In particular, ultra-white glass have to meet EN 572-2: 2012 standard and JC/ T 2001-2009 (Chinese standard) for the manufacture of solar cells and EN 572-2.:2012 building glass.

Khai Thinh Group commits that the 600 tons/ day ultra-white float glass production line will be synchronously designed from raw materials to the sorting, packing and storing, to ensure the advanced level of technology and technical solutions and to meet the project objectives. In addition, Khai Thinh Group also pledged the life of the production line’s furnaces for up to 12 years.

Ultra-white float glass factory project was invested with the total investment of more than VND 2,423 billion. The ultra-white float glass of Phu My Floating Glass Co., Ltd will be launched in the market with other high quality ultra-white float glass and building glass with the thickness from 2-19mm. These products conform to local market requirements and export for the production of solar cells.

Also in the series of activities celebrating two big holidays of the country, Viglacera Corporation and Khai Thinh Science and Technology Group signed documents for investment registration, establishment of a joint venture named Yen Phong rolled glass Co., Ltd. to implement an investment project in building a factory producing rolled ultra-white glass with a capacity of 650 tons per day in expanded Yen Phong Industrial Zone - Bac Ninh. The project is expected to start in the third quarter of 2018 and put into operation in 2020.

The factory is invested in modern and synchronous with its ultra-white rolled glass products used for the production and assembly of solar panels. This type of glass will replace imported ones, serve the needs of assembling solar panels in the country and export to other countries. This is the first ultra-white rolled glass factory to be built in Vietnam.

This product is an important part of the solar panels’ structure and contributing to the performance of the panels. Viglacera ultra-white rolled glass products after processing will have a high level of luminescence of 94% and used as a cover for the photovoltaic module of the panels. A 1m2 panel module will produce about 150W of power.

The deployment of construction investment in two glass factories contributes to the implementation of Viglacera Corporation's strategy in the application of high technology industry into production.
