On October 23rd, 2018, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba - Antonio Carricarte Corona and Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Lianys Torres Rivera paid a working visit to the head office of Viglacera Corporation - JSC at No.1 Thang Long Avenue, Hanoi.

On October 9th, 2018, during the visit to Vietnam, the delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba led by Olga Lidia Tapia Igleisa, the Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) Central Committee, Head of the CPC Central Committee’s Department of Science, Education, and Sports has visited and worked at Viglacera Corporation - JSC.

On August 28th 2018, during the visit to Vietnam, General Secretary of the Dominican Republic’s United Left Movement had a working visit to Viglacera Corporation JSC.

On July 24th 2018, representatives of Viglacera Corporation - Vietnam and Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM) - Cuba, held the official founding of ViMariel S.A, a subsidiary of Viglacera in Cuba. ViMariel S.A became the first 100% foreign invested infrastructure company in Cuba.

Celebrating 44th anniversary, Viglacera Corporation officially marks a new turning point in its real estate development strategy by a ground breaking ceremony of Van Hai Advanced Ecological Tourism Project on July 24th 2018. This is the first resort project on Quan Lan Island - Van Don - Quang Ninh.

From 5 to 8 July 2018, Viglacera Corporation participated in Korea Build 2018 in Seoul, Korea. This is the largest annual international construction and industrial exhibition held in Korea, attracting the participation of many countries in the world.

On the morning of June 29, 2018, Viglacera Corporation-JSC held the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2018 at the National Convention Center - No. 2 Thang Long Avenue, Hanoi. Business activities results in 2017 has exceeded the targets of the General Assembly, especially for the first time, Viglacera reached the combined profit before tax of just over 1,000 billion VND. In addition, Viglacera sets its 2018 business targets higher than that of 2017, the parent company's profit will be over 11% and 9.5% for dividend payout.

On June 2nd, Viglacera Corporation - JSC was honored to be awarded the “Top 10 National Green Brands” and “Top 20 Eco – Friendly Products” for Viglacera energy-saving glass by the Vietnam Association of Environmental Economics.

On 25/5/2018, Viglacera Corporation - Joint Stock Company cooperated with MB Securities JSC to organized the seminar "State capital withdrawal - investment opportunity of Viglacera Corporation - Joint Stock Company" for the purpose of divestment 80.579 .262 shares. The seminar was held at Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange in Ho Chi Minh City - 16 Vo Van Kiet, District 1. The program attracted a large number of domestic and foreign investors.
